Designer Quartz Australia specialises in engineered quartz stone providing you with unique range of colours that allows for more design freedom. Bringing revolution in the stone industry by manufacturing Bigger slabs with 10 Years limited warranty.
Our quartz stone is 93% natural quartz stone and only 7% resin, which makes it highly scratch, heat and stain resistant and has a long-lasting, high-gloss shine. Also Resistance to cracking and chipping since quartz is second only to diamond in hardness. However it is not scratch, heat and stain proof. To ensure that Designer Quartz Australia's product stays in its excellent condition for many years, we recommend the following guideline for its correct care and maintenance.
Prevention from Heat
It is advisable that heat pads and trivets should be used when placing hot cooking appliances, which generates heat directly/indirectly on the stone surface. Our slabs are heat resistant but direct contact on the surface of prolonged hot appliances could cause damage to the stone’s surface.
Prevention from Scratches
It is advisable to avoid dropping or dragging heavy kitchen implements on the surface. Avoiding direct contact of heavy knives and other commonly used kitchen equipment will help protect the stone surface and its polish.
Prevention from chemicals Our slabs can be permanently damaged by strong chemicals and solvents, if they are used on the stone for a prolonged period. If the stone is exposed to such chemicals then rinse with lots of water immediately.
Prevention from direct sunlight
Our slabs when exposed to direct sunlight may result in colour change and warping, therefore we recommend avoiding direct sunlight over a prolonged period on the surfaces.
Other General care
Other issues such as difficult stains, spills, nail polish, paint, chewing gum, strong glue or materials which can stick on the stone surface should be removed or scrapped with a non metallic object such as plastic knife. Once removed, just use any commonly used household cleaning product or detergent with warm water and cotton cloth to clean the surface.
